Hi, I'm Matt
I picked up my first camera when I was 10 and have never looked back since. Today, I am a Director of Photography and have been running Muscat Drago Productions since setting up in 2015.
I am fascinated by the film-making process and love seeing how a single creative person can make something special out of nothing. It inspires me in my own career as I am constantly finding innovative ways to tell a story.
Meeting new people and discussing film concepts always gives me a buzz, which works out perfectly for me as collaboration is at the heart of what I do. Clients really are never just a number, because building human connections is one of the best parts of my job. In fact, if we are not singing and dancing on set, something is seriously wrong!
Getting started
You need to complete a video project but don’t know where to begin or how to proceed. From previous experience – or from no experience at all – you fear that you’re in for a long and complicated process. From concept development and planning shots, to managing the lighting and editing everything post-production – there are plenty of steps along the way.
With so many moving parts to take care of, you worry it might take forever for things to come together. And what if they don’t, or if the final product is not quite what you’d been hoping for? You cringe at the thought of being disappointed after investing so much time and money!
Collaboration is key
I get it, and that’s the last thing I’d want for you if we worked together. That’s why I make it a point to keep communication channels open all the time – so we can have an ongoing discussion about the direction and progress of the project. And so that you never feel lost or uneasy about what’s coming next.
Since every step of the process requires different skills and expertise, I team up with other buzzing creatives who are the best at what they do, and it’s all hands on deck for us to get the job done to the highest standards! I like to keep things as transparent as possible to make sure we’re working off your feedback as we go and do not miss a single detail on our way to project completion.

In the end, the goal is for you to be happy with the final product, and a can-do attitude and proactive approach guarantee that we are able to deliver just that. I am always available to answer your questions, talk through any concerns and work out the best way forward. And +10 years of experience have shown me that no hurdle is too big to overcome – not when you have the right skillset and mindset! It’s a winning combination that keeps me excited about every project. Every single time.
After all, it doesn’t get much better than coming to the end of a project and loving the result. Perhaps the only thing better than that is enjoying the whole process so much that you can’t wait to do it again!
